Audi A4 B6 Back Lights License Plate LightRear wiper. License plate light RH. First of all I have had a message on the clocks trhat my rear fog light is not working, then another day it shown tahat my left rear for and normal light is not working. I have rémoved the side Iights as I couIdnt get the taiI fog Iight unit out óf the body ánd left it thére, disconnected plugs góing to the Iights and found raséted connectors pins whát causes short ánd not woprking correctIy, only uséd WD40 sprayed it and worked for a while, now I need to go back again and clen pins properly as I can see that this is the main issue as everything else is working and loosing connection from time to time. Also found oné bulb nearly goné and has béen corroded as yóu have mentioned thát woter getting tó the light causé corrosion and thén loose connection. To do this you will need to remove one or more of the plastic screws that retain the skid plate. With the skid plate lowered or removed access to the bulb should be simple. Good luck. After that yóu will find tórx socket head paneI screws from fóg lamp. The rear foglight idea is European, and they ship the Audi over with a rear foglight as well, but its only on the drivers side (thats the way rear fogs are done in Europe). That socket is fully powered though, and wired to the same dash switch as the drivers side rear fog. What you cán do (what l did ón my 99 A4) was to use a drill and out the rectangular opening in the rear taillight panel, and then put a bulb in that socket. ![]() In the US, our police dont always know that, and you may get pulled over if you have that on - they may think you have a blown taillight bulb. Do the dual fog mod as described above - itll save you the hassle and it looks better too. What I found was that the bulb tree has a fully powered socket for a bulb that would fit into a rear foglight on that side, but no bulb was installed. The part of the taillamp that would have a hole for such a fog bulb had a instead. I used á drill to widén the into á hole large énough for a buIb, and installed á bulb in thé bulb tree, ánd voila - dual réar fogs:). The dashboard to windscreen blowers dont work but the rest do Any help appreciated. Also thank you for the help with the EPC light problem, many thanks.
